Confidence Isn’t a Trait. It’s a Skill. And You Build It by Doing.
You don’t “get” confidence.
You earn it.
Just like a muscle, you build it by using it—and if you don’t, it shrinks.
When I got asked to direct my first real project (not a friend’s music video in a backyard), I had no idea how I’d pull it off.
I had imposter syndrome, a prosumer camera, and a few days to figure out how to lead a crew.
But I said yes anyway.
And guess what? I figured it out as I went.
That experience built more confidence in one week than years of planning ever did.
Not because I had the answers—
but because I showed up and made the call.
💪 2 Power Truths About Confidence
1. It’s a skill—like lifting weights.
Confidence isn’t fixed. You grow it through repetition.
Want more confidence speaking? Speak more.
Want more confidence acting? Act more.
Every rep counts.
2. The fastest way to build it?
Do the thing.
Not plan it. Not journal about it. Not meditate on it.
Do it messy. Do it scared. Do it before you’re ready.
Confidence doesn’t come before action—
it comes from it.
So if you’re waiting for confidence before you act—
you’ll be waiting forever.
Instead, ask:
What’s one small “rep” I can take today toward the thing I want?
Then do that.
And do it again tomorrow.
And if you "fail"?
Learn from it and do it again tomorrow.
Your confidence isn’t coming. It's being built.
Stay unleashed,
